Tsu-shima Holly Fern (Polystichum tsus-simense)

7.00

Distinctive black veining enhances the neat symmetry of the gently tapered pinnate fronds. The pinnae mimic the general frond shape but the individual pinnules are more oblong with their outer edges serrated with holly-like tips. Due to its small size and shapely appearance this fern can be used anywhere from the rockery to the border. This little gem is the fern so often seen behind those roses and carnations in mens' boutonnieres. It is the perfect addition to miniature bouquets at place settings and in the powder room. Plant a bevy of these charmers so you have plenty to work with.
