This is a chain for those who have ample space to provide a venue for 6' cascading fronds that arise in an arching cascade to touch down the proliferous buds nestled a the frond tip. The blades are are a slightly shimmery deep green at maturity with new growth coming up a coffee hued pinkish red. This massive fern is best grown on a bank or hanging over a wall. It can be grown in a pot for a few years but the massive crown and rot system demand ever larger containers and eventually one's willingness to wrestle around this weighty monster is called into question.
