This Xeric fern has blue-green bipinnate to tripinnate fronds with pinnae suspended on black stems. New growth emerges a bright lime green with wide spacing but matures to a dark blue-green color. The way the rounded margins of the pinnae overlap on mature fronds gives them a plume-like, shaggy look.
