This stunningly handsome fern has broad, undivided deep green pinnae interspersed with regular yellow striations making for a stunning display of slightly arching fronds. Fronds emanate from a pale thick creeping rhizome and slowly spread in favorable conditions. It may be deciduous in the winter months in the garden but may take only a short period of dormancy or stay up year-round in warmer conditions. Protection from excessive moisture during cold months is particularly helpful to overwinter Coniograme in marginal climates,
