Another handsome Japanese Holly Fern that is more upright and less horizontally arching than C. fortunei var. clivicola, with narrower segments and slightly rougher, waxier foliage. It is the parent species to the cultivar C. falcatum ‘Rochfordianum’, which is even more glossy and upright!
