This petit Rabbit Foot’s Fern is low growing, with fuzzy white rhizomes that love to wrap around the edges of containers and hanging baskets. Like many other Davallia species, it is somewhat drought tolerant since it can store water and nutrients in its thick surface dwelling rhizomes and doesn’t mind drying out in between waterings. Triangular fronds emerge along the length of the rhizomes.

Mature Size: 8” tall spreading up to 10”

Root type: thick spreading rhizome covered in silky beige to white “fuzzy” scales that puts up fronds along its length

Reproduction type: Monomorphic, producing indusia on the abaxial surface of the fronds

Cultivation information: Part Sun to Part Shade, Bright Filtered Light; lightly Moist to Dryish, avoid overwatering as it may rot the rhizomes
