Antenna Fern (Doryopteris cordata)
Antenna Fern (Doryopteris cordata)
New fern, extended description coming soon!
This tropical, low growing fern has flat foliage with rounded margins, almost reminiscent of a carpet of little lily pads. Fertile fronds rise above on in stark contrast on stiff, wiry upright stems with a triangular shaped blade. The vegetative fronds are so low and compact that the fertile fronds seem almost like antennas sticking out to help it scout the landscape!
Frond Condition: Evergreen
Mature Size: 1” high vegetative fronds; fertile fronds up to 1’
Origin: Australia and New Zealand
Cultural Requirements: Part Sun to Shade, Lightly Moist to Evenly Moist, High Humidity, Frost Protection
